Sparkle in the News…

Between 2024-2025 the kids collected more 415 cans of food to donate to AVHS!

Sparkle Hangouts: Weekly & Monthly Social Wellness & Prevention Youth Activities.

Weekly Coaching Sessions

This activity will be offered once a week and participants can bring any discussion topics to the table, receive academic tutoring, skill building, prevention and much more. There is no cost for participation and this activity is open to 5th grade and above. 

Saturday Coffee Talk

Offered once a month. This social gathering is offered to 6th grade youth and above. (Coffee meetings tend to focus on social-emotional skill building, conflict resolution, and peer support.)

Reading Club, Homework Help, Learning Lab

This activity will be offered 1-2 times per week. There is no cost for participation, attendees just need to bring a book or two. Limited eReaders will be available. This activity is open to 3rd grade and above.

Gaming & Hangout

Activities include Card Club, Mine Craft Challenges, Pokémon Go & hanging out to visit. Pokémon, Yu-gi-oh, Magic the Gathering and regular card games are welcome. Participants are also welcome to hang out even if they do not play cards. Mine Craft & Pogo participants need to bring their own device. (This activity focuses on academic skill building in literacy and math, social recreation, and peer-to-peer coaching.)
